I assembled this matcha set out of my appreciation for traditional tea culture and a desire to share it in a modern, approachable way. As a designer with a love for daily rituals, I handpicked or crafted each component to ensure both authenticity and quality. The chawan’s design is influenced by the Zen concept of finding beauty in imperfection – its shape is slightly irregular, making each bowl unique. In creating this set, I imagined someone taking a quiet moment each morning, whisking matcha and finding peace in the process. It’s the same meditative joy I experience, and I wanted to pass that on.
