This is ZERO — an incense holder drawn from a single flowing surface, like a pause pulled out of thin air.

ZERO began as an exploration of one continuous curve: something between architecture, sculpture, and a small object for daily ritual. The first aluminum run has sold out. This listing is for the steel / stainless steel editions — heavier, denser, and more architectural in the hand.

The form remains the same: that cyberpunk curve you may have seen before. But in metal, it feels even more like a fragment of future ruins resting quietly on your desk.

What this piece is

ZERO is where cyberpunk edge meets quiet zen.

A single incense stick rises from the center of a sculptural hollow. The metal catches light along the rim and falls into shadow at the base, like a city skyline folded into a minimal object. Cool to the touch and weighted with a calm presence, it sits like a deliberate pause in the room.

Because of the flowing form, the incense stick may lean slightly depending on the table surface and the thickness of the stick. This is part of the design — a small, gentle imperfection.

ZERO is design-forward first. It is not designed as a high-efficiency ash catcher.

Because of its deep sculptural hollow, ash and dust may naturally collect inside the form, and a small amount of ash may also fall outside during use.

We chose not to hide that reality. Instead, we designed the packaging to help: the included metal horseshoe tin lid can be used as a simple ash tray if you prefer to keep the holder itself cleaner.

At the moment, the versions currently available in this listing are:

1) 304 Stainless Steel — Full Mirror (Jewelry-grade finishing)

A fully polished mirror version finished with a jewelry-grade workshop, including the inner claw area that is difficult to reach in normal polishing.

This version offers the most complete mirror effect and the strongest sculptural presence. It feels sharp, reflective, and highly finished.

2) 304 Stainless Steel — Brushed Silver (hairline / satin brush)

A refined brushed finish with soft linear reflections.

This version feels calmer and more understated than mirror polish, while still keeping the same futuristic form. It has become a studio favorite because it is elegant, modern, and especially easy to live with in daily use.

3) Vacuum PVD Gold — Hand-finished (single piece only)

A warm metallic gold tone created with vacuum PVD plating, then hand-finished.

Please note: around the incense hole edge, there is a very slight imperfection from the hand-making process. It is subtle, but we want to be transparent about it.

This version is currently available as one single piece only.

2) 304 Stainless Steel — Mirror Polish (standard mirror) — Sold out

A reflective mirror-polished version from an earlier batch.

Please note: due to the geometry, one inner area inside the claw curve could not be fully polished by the standard process. That inner spot may look slightly less even than the rest of the mirror surface. This is not damage, but a limitation of the polishing method.

3) 304 Stainless Steel — Matte Finish — Sold out

An earlier matte stainless steel version from a previous stage of development.

4) Carbon Steel — Matte Rust Patina — Sold out

Sandblasted, then allowed to develop a controlled matte rusted skin. It feels like a fragment of an industrial future softened by time.

Mirror polish update (important)

We previously made three mirror-polished pieces as a small experiment. They were warmly received, even though one inner area inside the “claw” curve could not be fully polished by our existing machines.

Because so many people loved the mirror look, we began exploring how ZERO would feel if every millimeter could be properly polished. So we worked with a jewelry-grade finishing workshop and produced fully polished samples, including the inner claw area.

The result was stunning — but the cost also increased significantly. That is why the Full Mirror version is offered as a separate option with its own pricing.

We are happy to try, but due to geometry and material constraints, we cannot guarantee that every finish can be achieved exactly as imagined.

The incense hole is sized for most standard stick incense. Very thin or very thick sticks may lean more; this is normal and does not affect use.

Care

Keep dry, especially for carbon steel versions if custom-ordered in the future

For stainless steel, wipe with a soft cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners

Hairline scratches, tiny color shifts, and natural surface aging are part of the material’s character

Because the hollow sculptural form naturally catches ash and dust, the included metal tin lid can be used as a simple minimalist ash tray if you prefer easier cleanup

Each piece is finished by hand in small batches, so your ZERO may be slightly different from the photos. That uniqueness is intentional.

Ash & cleanup note (please read)

Because of this design, ZERO is not an ideal ash catcher. A small amount of ash may fall outside the holder during use.

If you are very sensitive to ash or prefer a perfectly clean setup, this may not be the right item for you.

A practical tip: please keep the included metal tin packaging. You can flip the lid upside down and use it as a simple ash tray. The incense holder can rest nicely on top of the lid, which helps reduce falling ash and makes cleanup easier.

That said, it will still not be perfect. Some ash may still escape depending on the incense type, burn length, and placement.

Please do not expect strong ash-collecting performance from this piece. ZERO is primarily a design object with incense function, rather than a highly controlled ash-catching tool.

Packaging & gifting

Each ZERO comes packed in a custom metal horseshoe tin.

The box protects the piece in transit, and after unboxing, the lid can double as a simple ash tray to catch incense ash if you do not want it to fall directly onto your table or collect inside the hollow.

Suitable as a housewarming gift, birthday gift, or a thoughtful gift for someone who appreciates sculptural objects and quiet rituals.

The new batch is now finished.

This batch is still limited in quantity, mainly because of the time and labor required for grinding and polishing. For this reason, in this round we only made the Full Mirror version and the Brushed Silver version.

Thank you so much for the support. The discount is still being kept for now, and after discount, the prices of these two finishes remain close to the price of our previous mirror version.

Production log — Updated Feb 05, 2026

First, thank you — truly — for the support. The first batch of ZERO is now completely sold out. At that time, only a few special editions remained available.

You may have noticed that the shipping time was longer than usual. That was simply because the next production run had not yet come out of the factory. The process for ZERO is still quite complex, and we would rather wait and keep the finishing standard than rush it.

At that stage, we were seriously considering a more flawless mirror-polished version for a future batch. As it turned out, that direction became real — and it is now reflected in the current Full Mirror version.

We also decided not to continue the old matte finish. Even though it appeared in some older content, the final look did not fully meet our studio standard. Instead, we moved toward the brushed / hairline finish, which has become one of our favorite directions for ZERO.
